It was a busy and tragic weekend for Winnipeg fire crews starting with Thursday’s first-snow road collision chaos also involving two department fire trucks – no crew members were injured.

The weekend also brought several residential fires including Friday night’s fatal rooming house fire. That incident saw our crews enter the burning building to rescue three victims still inside the structure from upper floors using ground ladders.
