Please see the attached letter that was sent to the Winnipeg Fire Department by Eleanor Verplaetse, Chair, Golden Links Lodge Board of Directors and Mary Knight, CEO of Golden Links Lodge.

 

This letter discusses the great job that WFD and WEMS did in evacuating of the personal care home in St. Vital after it was flooded in the early morning of April 20, 2014.

 

This great co-operation between WFD, WFPS and WEMS was once again evident this past weekend when another Personal Care Home, Golden West Centennial Lodge in St. James, had to be evacuated when there was a break in the water supply line.

 

This type of work exemplifies the importance of working together for the common good when serving the public.
