My UFFW Brothers and Sisters, a sincere thank you to our amazing membership for your support.

I want you to know that I consider it an absolute honour and privilege to serve as your new President. This is an incredibly proud and humbling time for me. I have had the good fortune to learn from the very best and I look forward to continue leading our great Union with dignity and conviction.

Secondly, by also electing your new Vice President, Derek Balcaen, I truly believe we will remain very strong, building towards an optimistic future.

To those members remaining in the ongoing election process, I wish everyone luck, as it takes incredible courage to put your name on the ballot.

Thank you to elections committee Chair Russ Morrow and your much appreciated team of volunteers.

Lastly, I would like to thank out-going UFFW President Alex Forrest for his valued guidance, tireless work and his deep devotion to our member’s overall well being. We are all much better off for the 23 dedicated years he gave to this Union. Stay safe and stay strong.
