Re:                  HSC Celebrity Race

UFFW has joined with the Winnipeg Police Association to enter a team into the 2014 Celebrity Human Race.  Throughout the rest of August and most of September we will be running a series of commercials in conjunction with WPA and HSC on all TV channels in Winnipeg to promote this event and to ask for donations.  All proceeds will go to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation that supports the men and women who provide health care at the HSC by funding research, education, advanced technology and infrastructure enhancements.

This event will feature challenges along a route throughout the city and the UFFW members of the team are President Alex Forrest and Executive Board Member Derek Balcaen.

One of the media pit stop challenges this year will feature the jobs of Winnipeg Fire Fighters.
