We are asking off duty members to join your Union Executive at the Federal Nomination meeting of Dan Vandal who is running for the Federal Liberal Nomination in the St Boniface riding.

 

Dan plans to challenge incumbent Shelley Glover in the next Federal Election.  We all remember when Ms. Glover voted against the Public Safety Officer Compensation (PSAC) motion in the House of Commons.  This motion was to ensure Firefighters, Paramedics and Police would be federally recognized when dying in the line of duty. Shockingly, Shelley Glover, a former police officer in Winnipeg voted and spoke against this recognition. Also, Ms. Glover has been part of the conservative attacks on the middle class in our country.

 

This will be a very important election campaign for all of us and we need all Fire Fighters to assist in the efforts to elect Dan Vandal as the MP for St Boniface.
