UFFW has supported a considerable number of candidates in elections at all levels and we have a track record of having the majority of our endorsed candidates elected.

 

Since 2006 we have supported 19 candidates in Civic Elections and 15 of these candidates have been successful. This includes candidates we have supported in the 2006 Municipal Election and the 2010 Municipal Election.  Our success rate in municipal elections is 79%.

 

On a Provincial level we have supported 57 candidates and 56 of them have been elected. Our success rate for elected candidates in provincial elections is 98.25%.  This includes candidates we have supported in the 2007 Provincial Election, the bi-elections that were held in 2009 and 2010 and the 2011 Provincial Election.

 

The overall success rate for the candidates we have supported in Municipal and Provincial elections since 2006 is 88.6%

 

We have already begun meeting with candidates for the upcoming municipal election and next week we will begin releasing the names of the candidates we will be supporting.
