On Saturday September 19th, firefighters and their family members gathered in Colorado Springs to honour those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

This year’s memorial was unique as the memorial itself was re-dedicated after being completely rebuilt and expanded. It now includes the names of every IAFF line of duty death since its inception on February 28th 1918.

These names now number more than seven thousand.
