The City of Winnipeg has released a proposal to close both 9 and 15 stations and replace them with one new hall to serve the area. In addition, 3 stand alone ambulance stations are proposed to be closed, with those units being moved into existing fire halls.

It is believed that by replacing these aging stations, that enough savings will be found to assist with the building of a much needed hall in Waverly West.
