Muscular Dystrophy giving National Recognition for 50 Years of Charitable Work

All media are invited to a special event today, Wednesday March 18th, at 3:30 on the rooftop of Fire Station #4 in Osborne Village.

Winnipeg Fire Fighters have been involved with Muscular Dystrophy since 1954 and we and Muscular Dystrophy Canada are now celebrating the work that Retired Fire Fighter Al Bartley has done for the charity.

Al Bartley is now in his 50th year of fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy.  He has been retired from the Winnipeg Fire Department for nine years and is currently one of the Rooftop Campers who are at # 4 Station this week.

The media will be allowed to go up onto the roof of 4 Station to interview the campers, including Al Bartley.
