Eleventh Anniversary Of Gabrielle Roy fire

February 4th marks the eleventh anniversary of the Gabrielle Roy fire. This incident took the lives of two of our own and injured so many others both physycally and emotionally.

We will never forget and we will continue to help the firefighters who are still suffering from this fire.

Rest in peace Harold and Tom, we will never forget your sacrifice.

Brother Kevin Steinke Retirement

UFFW executive Rob Campbell was proud to present Brother Kevin Steinke Reg#1890 with his retirement watch earlier this afternoon.

Kevin kept our fleet of trucks running for 13 years at EMSB Fire and another 21 years for Wpg transit for a total of 34 years with the city of Winnipeg.

Thank you Kevin for your years of dedication to keeping our members safe!

Ken Brunen Retirement

Tonight Brother Ken Brunen reg#1352 celebrated one of his final shifts with the WFD.

Ken is transferring to 5 platoon as a captain with nearly thirty years of dedicated service.
