On Wednesday November 4th, the WFD particupated in “Take Your Child To Work Day”. This popular event is meant for young adults in grade 9 from across the province to acompany their parents (or others) to work for the day. The goal is to provide these young people with an appreciation and insight into a particular career.

Our training & pub-ed divisions did a great job of setting up many informative and practical stations for everyone to enjoy.

Some of these stations included:
– firefighting skills
– burn building
– vehicle-ex hands-on drill
– PPE including turnout gear and SCBA
– driving simulator
– various medical stations

It is estimated we had nearly 40 students particupate this year.
