UFFW was proud to attend the launch event for the 2016 National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week at City Hall this past Monday.

As part of the ceremony, the Bear Clan performed a traditional Aboriginal Smudge Ceremony for those in attendance.

We would like to thank our dedicated dispatchers for the tremendous work they do in extremely difficult situations every day. We could not accomplish the successes we do on-scene without the information they manage to first obtain from the callers.

We also acknowledge the important work they do in often being called upon to coach the callers in vital medical first response until resources arrive on scene.
