United Firefighters Of Winnipeg has gladly accepted the City of Winnipeg’s request for volunteers to assist with the setup of temporary shelters for our northern forest fire evacuees at new shelters today.

We are asking any of our members to report directly to 770 Leila (Winnipeg Soccer Federation) and please wear your UFFW/WFD T-shirts.

Help is needed immediately – please attend.

UPDATE

WFD Vehicles, firefighters and volunteers arrived at the same time as the first northern residents displaced by Fires.
We are here to help set up the field and cots for over 1000 temporary evacuees.
