About Muscular Dystrophy Canada

Winnipeg firefighters have a longstanding relationship with MD Canada. With donations collected during our rooftop campout, they work to remove barriers to care, connection, and essential resources. Their teams help individuals and families navigate the healthcare system and access equipment funding. With the charitable support of firefighters, they have made real progress, from early screening initiatives and care advancements to much needed research investment.

Supporting Charities

Winnipeg firefighters play a vital role not only in protecting the community through emergency response, but also by actively working with charitable organizations across the city to support some of Winnipeg’s most vulnerable residents. Their involvement goes beyond the call of duty, as they dedicate time, resources, and compassion to community initiatives that support people suffering from diseases and financial hardships. By partnering with local charities, Winnipeg firefighters help strengthen community bonds, raise awareness, and provide critical support to those in need. Their commitment exemplifies the spirit of service and solidarity, making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing hardship.
