The pace continues into the start of 2025 with Winnipeg Fire Crews facing another 3 fires in the last 36 hours.
A near miss occurred this morning as a crew member had to be transported to hospital after falling through a hole on the main floor into the basement. Fortunately he sustained only minor injuries.
This situation highlights the increased hazards faced by our crews responding to vacant structures, especially those which have sustained previous fire damage.
