UFFW President Nick Kasper and Vice President TJ Belluk were invited to the Manitoba Legislature today for the tabling of the Provincial Budget.
We had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with Premier Wab Kinew, MLA David Pankratz, and Cabinet Minister Tracy Schmidt MLA for Rossmere, regarding Budget 2025 and the escalating challenges facing Winnipeg residents and our Fire Department.
A special thank you to City of Winnipeg – Municipal Government Mayor Scott Gillingham for taking the time to meet with us to discuss ongoing initiatives aimed at addressing the number of vacant houses in Winnipeg, in an effort to curb the city’s arson crisis.
We remain committed to collaborating with all levels of government to find solutions that address Winnipeg’s unsustainable structure fire and arson rates.
